Vaseline Advanced Repair Body Lotion

A body lotion from Vaseline's Intensive Care range, built on glycerin and petrolatum (the base of Vaseline jelly) to moisturize and soften dry skin.

What's inside, and why

• Glycerin is a humectant. It draws water into the skin and helps it hold onto moisture.
• Petrolatum is an occlusive. It forms a thin layer on the skin that slows water loss.
• Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol and Isopropyl Isostearate are emollients and texture builders. They soften the skin and give the lotion its creamy feel.
• Dimethicone is a silicone that leaves the skin feeling smooth.
• Tapioca Starch helps the lotion feel less sticky on the skin.
• Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Carbonate and Stearamide AMP thicken the lotion and balance its pH.

Good to know: the formula contains Methylparaben and Propylparaben (parabens) along with Phenoxyethanol as preservatives. There is no "Parfum" on the list, but Ethylene Brassylate is a scent ingredient, so it may have a light scent. Titanium Dioxide and Xanthophylls give it its colour.

How to use

Pump or squeeze the lotion from the bottle and spread it evenly over your hands and body until absorbed. Apply daily.

Before you start

Patch test before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin. Avoid broken or irritated skin, and stop using it if you notice itching, redness or burning.
