L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Serum 100ml

A leave-in hair serum from L'Oréal Paris's Elvive Extraordinary Oil range, made with coconut oil, soybean oil and flower extracts in a silicone base. It's designed to help smooth dry hair, add shine and tame frizz.

What's inside, and why

• Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethiconol are silicones. They coat the hair surface so it feels smooth and slippery, which helps with shine and detangling.
• Coconut oil, Soybean oil and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride are emollient oils that soften the feel of the hair.
• Chamomile, Lotus, Flax, Gardenia and Rosehip (Rosa Canina) flower extracts are the plant extracts this range is built around, used for conditioning.
• Bisabolol is a soothing ingredient commonly used in cosmetics.

Good to know: this formula contains fragrance (Parfum), along with the fragrance components Cinnamal and Linalool, plus Benzyl Alcohol. It also contains coconut and soy-derived oils and is silicone-based, so it's not the right pick if you want silicone-free hair care.

How to use

After shampoo and conditioner, rub 3 to 4 drops between your palms to warm the serum. Apply evenly through the lengths and ends of wet or dry hair. Follow the dosing on your bottle, as it can differ between pack types.

Before you start

Keep it away from the roots and scalp. Avoid contact with eyes. Patch test before first use if you react to fragrance, and stop using it if you notice itching, redness or irritation.
